Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke will visit Williamsburg Tuesday, as well as other locations throughout Virginia.
O’Rourke will hold a meet-and-greet at William and Mary’s Trinkle Hall Tuesday afternoon. While focused on students, the event will be open to the public.
The event will begin at 1:35 p.m., Tuesday April 16, at Trinkle Hall, 108 Jamestown Road. The event is free and open to the public, though seating is limited and RSVP through his website is recommended.
The stop in Williamsburg is part of a series of town hall meetings, meet and greets and other events hosted by O’Rourke’s campaign throughout the state Tuesday and Wednesday.
O’Rourke seeks the Democratic presidential nomination along with 17 other contenders, and he will be the first declared candidate to visit Virginia.
O’Rourke, a former three-term Congressman from Texas, first gained national attention during his eventually unsuccessful attempt to unseat incumbent Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) last year.
