Busch Gardens, Water Country roll out new membership program

Busch Gardens and Water Country USA have announced a new membership program, which is intended to provide greater value and flexibility at lower cost for visitors.

Starting Monday, people can select from Busch Gardens-only, Water Country USA-only or new platinum memberships. Two-park basic, unlimited and premier memberships remain available, and all packages including Busch Gardens also include Christmas Town.

Membership plans start at $9.99 per month, and for $2 more a month members can add Water County USA, according to a news release.

Those who bought memberships before Monday retain their benefits.

Memberships offer discounted or free parking, discounted in-park purchases, access to events and other perks. The new platinum membership allows unlimited visits to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA, as well as nine other SeaWorld parks. It also offers free preferred parking, 15 percent off in-park purchases, three free guest tickets and more, according to the release.

“Our consumers wanted more value and simpler choices prompting us to introduce the membership program in February,” Kevin Lembke, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA park president, said in the release. “Our guests quickly saw the value in membership, but also wanted more flexibility.”

The changes to the membership program come after Busch Gardens adopted a membership program intended to replace its pass program earlier this year.

Current members who would like to change their membership plan can visit the parks’ ticket windows during normal operating hours or call 757-229-4386.
