Halloween in Colonial Williamsburg by the numbers

WILLIAMSBURG — Colonial Williamsburg's Halloween Spectacular by the numbers:

0 — The number of tickets and registration slots open for trick or treating or Friday and Saturday's evening programs.

1 — This is the first year of the Halloween Spectacular.

6 — The number of kinds of Mars candy to be handed out during trick or treating — M&M's, Skittles, Milky Way, Twix, Starburst and Snickers.

8 — The number of sites in the Historic Area that will hand out toys and trinkets from Teal Pumpkin Project, as well as candy.

16 — The total number of trick or treating stops in the Historic Area

100+ — costumed interpreters working each night, including Blackbeard and members of his zombie crew, complemented by support staff and volunteers.

500+ — ticketed guests for each of the four evening program sessions Friday and Saturday; tickets are sold out. There are tickets left for horror movie showings at Kimball Theatre and the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg.

4,000+ -- number of guests registererd per night, mostly children under age 12, for free community trick or treating in the Historic Area. Registration is now closed.

"Too Much To Count" — the amount of candy donated by Mars, Inc. for the event.
