A James City County man faces allegations of being a peeping Tom, police said Thursday.

Dylan Durussel, 25, has been charged with peeping into an occupied dwelling, according to James City County Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.

On Jan. 14 around 10:30 p.m., a witness called police and told officers they saw Durussel looking in the window of a home in the 400 block of Chesdale Court, Williams said. The witness knows Durussel.

Officers found Durussel at his home and charged him with peeping into an occupied dwelling, according to Williams. Durussel was released with a summons to appear in Williamsburg-James City County General District Court at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 22, according to online court records.

If convicted to the maximum extent of the law, Durussel faces as much as a year in jail and $2,500 in fines, according to the Virginia Code.
