James City home catches on fire

A house caught on fire Saturday in James City. The residents weren’t home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the 200 block of William Claiborne in Kingsmill. Units arrived at the scene around 7:53 p.m. and the fire was put out at 8:25 p.m., according to a James City county news release.

The residents weren’t home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation, the release.
