John Tyler Highway is now open between Centerville Road and Jamestown High School after it was closed in order for Dominion Energy crews to restore power to the area, according to James City County’s Facebook page.
Cranston’s Mill Pond near Chickahominy Road is likewise open after it was closed due to flooding, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation’s website.

A portion of John Tyler Highway and Cranston’s Mill Pond Road are closed Saturday evening.
John Tyler Highway is closed in both directions from Centerville Road to Jamestown High School as Dominion Energy crews work to restore power in the area, according to a Facebook post published by James City County Saturday. The closure is expected to remain in effect until at least around 9 p.m. Saturday.
About 120 customers are out of power in that area, according to Dominion’s outage map.
Cranston’s Mill Pond Road is closed due to flooding near Chickahominy Road as of approximately 6 p.m. Saturday, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation’s website.
