The Jamestown-Scotland Ferry will run at reduced capacity Wednesday morning, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The Surry boat will be picking up cars soon, according to VDOT senior communications specialist Shellee Casiello, but all other boats are out of service.

The Jamestown-Scotland Ferry will run at reduced capacity for the rest of the morning, she said.

At around 6:45 a.m., Casiello said two boats were not running, and around 7:05 a.m., she advised those who normally take the ferry to choose an alternate route.
