Luria opens York County office to help constituents

Staff writer

Congresswoman Elaine Luria has opened an office in York County for constituents on this end of the district.

“I am so proud to now have offices and offer services in each part of the district,” Luria said in a statement. “Ensuring that we’re visible and available everywhere is a top priority.”

Luria represents residents of Williamsburg, the Eastern Shore and Virginia Beach and parts of James City, York, Hampton and Norfolk.

Former Congressman Scott Taylor previously maintained an office in York County that opened in late 2017, according to former office staffer Julie Smith. That location closed when Luria was sworn into office in 2019.

Luria’s team hired a Christopher Newport University graduate, Caleb Smith, to staff the York County office.

“Caleb’s knowledge of the Peninsula will be essential to providing the best assistance to constituents,” Luria said in the statement.

The office is at 105 Professional Parkway, Suite 1512, in Yorktown.

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that former Congressman Scott Taylor nearest office was in Virginia Beach. Taylor maintained an office in Yorktown in late 2017 until its closure when Congresswoman Elaine Luria was sworn into office.
