Three new scholarships for aspiring doctors in WJCC

The Williamsburg Community Foundation, in partnership with Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg, has created three new scholarships for Williamsburg James City County high school students planning to pursue a career in health services.

This scholarship will be available to graduating students from all three high schools. Scholarships will be awarded based on a student’s curriculum difficulty, class rank, extra-curricular activities, application essay and financial need.

The Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg scholarship is one of more than 50 scholarships that will be awarded through the Williamsburg-James City County Scholarship Fund to graduating W-JCC high school students. In June 2017, 51 scholarships totaling $61,600 were awarded to local students.

Funds raised to support scholarship come from individuals, families, high school parent-teacher associations, civic groups and local businesses.
