Police: Armed robbery at Williamsburg gas station

Two men robbed the Valero gas station at 602 York St. at gunpoint Friday evening, according to Williamsburg Police Department spokesman Maj. Greg Riley.

At around 7:50 p.m., police responded a report of a robbery at the gas station.

The two men entered the business, displayed a firearm and took an undetermined amount of money from the store, said Riley. According to a news release, the first suspect was described as a black male wearing a ski mask and all black clothing. The second male was a white male wearing a white mask and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a colorful design.

After taking the cash, the two men fled across the nearby railroad tracks. The store clerk was not injured.

The incident is still under investigation.
