A blast of winter air is coming for the Williamsburg area Sunday night.
After a daytime high temperature of 60 degrees Sunday, the National Weather Service predicts the temperature will drop to a low around 16 degrees Sunday night, and gusty northwest winds with speeds of 25 to 30 mph are expected to usher in the temperature drop, according to the NWS.
There’s an 80 percent chance of rain after 2 a.m. Sunday morning. There’s 100 percent chance of rain during the day Sunday.
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for James City County Sunday through Friday, according to the NWS website. Monday is expected to have a high of 29 degrees and a low of 14 degrees.
