Police: York pair charged with prostitution, carrying concealed weapon illegally

Williamsburg police charged a York pair with prostitution and carrying a concealed weapon.

Erin Alexis Sebert, 18 of York County, has been charged with prostitution and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to Williamsburg Police Department spokesman Maj. Greg Riley.

Devonta Gerrell Harris, 18 of York County has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, Riley said.

On Sept. 15 at about 4:25 p.m., Williamsburg police were called to the 900 block of Capitol Landing Road for a sexual assault, according to Riley.

The investigating officer spoke with a juvenile and Sebert, Riley said. Sebert and the juvenile told the officer they had solicited a teenage boy for drugs and both had performed a sexual act with the juvenile.

The teenage boy fled after Sebert and the teenage girl performed the sexual act, according to Riley. The boy did not give the pair any drugs.

Sebert was then charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Riley said.

Based on the conversation, officers stopped a vehicle on Rochambeau Drive in York County, which held two teenagers related to the incident, according to Riley.

During the stop, an officer discovered that Harris had a concealed handgun, Riley said. Harris was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and released.

The investigating officer acquired arrest warrants against Sebert for prostitution at 8:10 p.m. the same day, according to Riley. The warrants were not served as of 5 p.m. on Sept. 17.

The incident remains under investigation, and charges against the teenage boy and girl are pending, Riley said.

Both Sebert and Harris are class of 2018 graduates from Bruton High School, according to York County School Division records.
