Yorktown man dies after being stabbed

A Yorktown man died after being stabbed multiple times Saturday.

At around 3:17 a.m., York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in the 6300 block of George Washington Memorial Highway, according to an agency news release.

Deputies found the victim, 49-year-old Yorktown resident Gregory Mullins, lying in the street after being stabbed multiple times. Mullins died shortly after reaching the hospital, the release states.

Deputies arrested Michael Alan Bush, a 53-year-old Yorktown resident, in connection with the stabbing. Bush has been charged with second-degree murder and has been taken to Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, the release states.
