Medicaid and the tourism sales tax

Careful Tommy, your hypocrisy is showing. On the one hand, you wanted to make the poorest people around Williamsburg pay for the tourist industry bailout. On the other hand, you don’t want to help the very same people get Medicaid. So what would happen if these people aren’t healthy enough to work, how could they pay your “Tommy Tax?”

Your objection to expanding Medicaid in Virginia is because you fear the federal government might stop funding Medicaid, thus Virginia becoming stuck with the cost. So where is your fear that Colonial Williamsburg might not be able to figure out how to operate efficiently when the advertising they have been doing hasn’t been working? This didn’t prevent you from at least trying, did it?
