Dinner showed value of sourcing food locally

What a great community we live in.

Last week, Williamsburg Community Growers hosted a farm-to-table fundraising dinner. Chef Scott Hoyland from Culture Café donated his valuable time and professional services to provide a plant-based, five-course dinner that included signature hors d’oeuvres from Culture Café.

Another community member, KelRae Farm, donated fresh, locally-grown produce for the meal. The elegant meal was attended by like-minded community members who want to support and learn more about Williamsburg Community Growers.

The vision of Williamsburg Community Growers is to grow Williamsburg’s healthy community food ecosystem. As Williamsburg grows, work in the area of food systems, food security and food recovery will become more important.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Williamsburg Community Growers, I am grateful for the generous and genuine support of our community.
