Diversity officers aside; we need diversity

Chief Diversity Officer, seriously? Are our institutions of higher learning really that helpless and needy? Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls are you paying attention? Got those thinking caps on? Now hear this.

Diversity begins between the ears, not with such minor issues as gender, sexual orientation, race, religion or other distractions for the weak willed.

Diversity on college campuses all over America would become meaningful in short order if conservative job candidates were hired now and again.

I'd venture to say that one could count on two hands the number of conservatives on the faculty at the College of William and Mary. Is that a good thing?

Does this glaring lack of diversity of thought enhance the education of our young people? Does it help broaden their intellectual horizons? Will it foster better decision-making skills in their futures?

Nothing like making decisions with only one opinion, one side of an issue, sort of like the way sheep make decisions, I suspect.

While folks might look different and pray differently and live differently, if they all think the same there really isn't any diversity worth being very proud of is there?

And if one disagrees, there is only one solution left. Hire more Chief Diversity Officers and arm them so they can shoot dissenters.
