Batten is a good successor to Pogge

As a lifelong Republican, it was with sadness that I heard the news that Brenda Pogge was retiring this year. However, we have an excellent candidate to replace her with: Amanda Batten.

She has been working with Pogge for the past six years and is her handpicked successor. Between that and her years of experience leading the Williamsburg/James City County Republican Committee, not to mention her years running the Senate Majority Leader’s Office, there is no better candidate to take the reins when Pogge retires.

We will be losing more than a decade of experience when Pogge leaves office. There is no better way to continue on than with a woman who’s spent the last decade on the front lines, both in Richmond and here on the Peninsula. It really couldn’t be more clear: Vote Amanda Batten for Delegate on June 11.
