Why jump to conclusions based on accusations?

So, why are the press and various organizations terminating people’s careers based on allegations? Anyone can make an allegation.

Others may pile on thinking that their allegation is true or thinking they can benefit financially.

An allegation needs to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt; in some cases, the proof must have a preponderance of the facts.

Isn’t everyone entitled to their day in court? Apparently not.
