Football:

Bailey Green scored the first three touchdowns in Poquoson's 35-point first quarter as the host Islanders breezed past Grafton 58-6 Tuesday night in a makeup game. Ethan Sneddon went 8 for 8 on PATs.

Green’s 55-yard run, plus scoring receptions of 45 and 7 yards from Steven Parker, gave the Islanders a 21-0 lead before the game was four minutes old.

Noah Hunter and Colten Hicks scored two touchdowns apiece for the Islanders (5-1, 4-1 Bay Rivers District).

Isaiah Smith's 47-yard third-quarter run provided the Clippers' points. …

Host West Point breezed past King & Queen Central 60-0, scoring all of its points in the first half.

The Pointers held the Royal Tigers to minus-18 yards on 38 offensive plays. Central's only completion in 14 passes went for no gain.

Seven West Point players scored touchdowns in the first half, including Whit Whittaker and Noah Lawson with two apiece. Whittaker returned the game's opening kickoff 76 yards, and the rout was on. …

Monday, King William (5-1) won 39-0 at Mathews, scoring all of its points before halftime. Lance Alfonso completed 10 of 14 passes for 168 yards and a score, and Kolbe Jorgenson had 86 yards -- including a 42-yard touchdown -- on five carries.

Corey Stewart ran for two touchdowns and 54 yards on six carries for the Cavaliers, who face Blue Ridge on Thursday in a rare weather-related scenario: two games in four days.
