A luxury, by any measure

For weeks on end, we have published comments in the Last Word concerning a change in Cox's pricing and digital TV services and the need to rent and use their mini-box to unscramle the digital signal.

Some of those who wrote to us were confused at the change and need for it; others were upset at the level and quality of communications; still others were just angry about it.

The clamor got bad enough that the James City County Board of Supervisors invited a Cox representative to one of their meetings to address the customer service issues. This was akin to the board calling in the folks from Food Lion because citizens were up in arms over the cost of frozen pizzas.
