A York County man has been charged after a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office deputy allegedly found digital scales and marijuana in the man’s car.
Jamel John Young Jr, 25, has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute, according to an arrest warrant filed in York-Poquoson General District Court.
At 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office deputy noticed a car with an expired registration tag driving in York Terrace in York County, a court filing said.
The deputy stopped the driver of the car and smelled marijuana, the documents said.
