Harrisonburg man charged in hit and run of Jared Antle to take case to jury trial

About a year after Jared Antle was injured in a hit-and-run, the man criminally charged in the case will take his case to a jury trial.

Mashkhal Khalid Ibrahim, 27, of Harrisonburg, was indicted April 15 on a single felony count of hit-and-run that resulted in injury, according to Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Circuit Court filings. A jury trial has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 29.

Ibrahim was charged Nov. 5 in the case and arrested on Nov. 13 when he turned himself in to the Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Jail, according to court records and Virginia Gazette archives.
