There is a large sign on the corner of News Road and Monticello Avenue. The sign appears to be on public property (parks and recreation). I hope James City County is receiving rent for that space. Editor’s note: according to the Christy Parrish, James City County zoning administrator, the sign is on private land with the consent of the owner. It and all other non-commercial signs in the county may stay up for 90 days without a permit.
