Honor Flight trip was wonderful experience

Honor Flight is dedicated to the veterans who served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. These veterans are taken to visit the veterans memorials in Washington, D.C., with all expenses paid by donations. The Honor Flight organization from the Historic Triangle held its seventeenth gathering on April 22. Peninsula veterans gathered at Colonial Heritage Country Club at O-Dark-Thirty (0545). We were welcomed by Congressman Rob Wittman, the Langley AFB Honor Guard, loads of Coast Guardsmen from Portsmouth and Yorktown (including a Rear Admiral), and a Naval JROTC unit from a local high school.
