As a frequent visitor from New England to Williamsburg, one of the charms that we love is the greenness and the natural beauty. It seems like every time we’ve come back over the past 15 years, which is in the spring and the fall, there are more things torn down. The highway even — the whole divider with all the greenery — is getting torn down on Route 64. And now every corner, starting with the Berkeley Middle School all the way over to Monticello, has lost all of its trees and wood-like atmosphere. Is there no end to this? Because it will keep away tourism. We will go, like others, somewhere else.
