Sen. Monty Mason, D-Williamsburg, will look to keep his seat in the Virginia Senate’s 1st District in November.
Mason announced he had filed the necessary paperwork to get himself on the ballot for re-election in a Friday morning post on Facebook.
“I've filed for re-election in the great 1st Senate District of Virginia,” he said in the post. “Thanks to the people of the 1st State Senate District for allowing me to do a job that I truly love. I would be honored to continue as your Senator.”
