Loose change

Once again, I've had my coins slide off my dollar bills and drop to the ground while checking out at a business today, and feel compelled to share this piece of advice. Store/restaurant managers, please instruct your staff when giving change to customers, to place the coins in the recipient's hand, then lay the paper money on top. This way, the coins won't slide off the bills and fall to the ground. I know we can't expect clerks to give change back the old fashioned way, counting it back up to the original amount given; computerized cash registers have rendered that skill obsolete.
