Legacy 76's Grace grabs top CAC honor; Lafayette grad makes second team for CNU women

Christopher Newport University senior midfielder Jimmy Grace, a Legacy 76 representative, was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year in men's soccer.

Grace's selection marked the third time in four seasons the Captains earned league Player of the Year honors. Jalon Brown, a former Legacy 76 player, had the honors in 2013 and 2014.

Grace has 11 goals and six assists for a CAC-best 28 points this year.

CNU plays in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament Saturday against Montclair State in Grantham, Pa., where traditional power Messiah is hosting a four-team group.
