A bicyclist is suffering life-threatening injuries after he or she was hit by a car on Old Williamsburg Road in York County Saturday night, an official said.
Virginia State Police were called to the crash just before 4:30 p.m., spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya said in an email.
Crash scene investigators believe the driver of a sedan was driving south on Old Williamsburg Road and moved over to the left to allow enough space for the bicyclist who was traveling in same direction, Anaya said. But the bicyclist swerved into the path of the sedan and was struck, she said.
