Folks, I encourage you to contact your representative county supervisor and the folks on the Economic Development Authority on bringing the internet to King William County.
At the Board of Supervisor meeting on March 25, Atlantic Broadband was given the exclusive right to take over and expand the Comcast Cable Franchise on a 4-1 vote. The Atlantic Broadband attachment, dated March 11, paragraph two, states:
“At no cost to King William County (the County), Atlantic Broadband feels that it would be able to connect this area and others into its existing infrastructure with some added construction on its part and provide advanced cable services and introduce high speed internet and voice services for both residential and business entities in that area within a reasonable time-frame.”
Well folks, what do you think a reasonable time frame is? One year, 10 years, 20 years?
