Litter pick up in King William set for Nov. 17

King William County supervisors are inviting residents to come together to pick up litter in this weekend.

Supervisors Bill Hodges, Travis Moskalski, Bob Ehrhart, David Hansen and County Administrator Bobbie Tassanari for Supervisor Stephen Greenwood, will hold litter pickup events on Nov. 17.

Locations:

  • 1st District, West Point — Bill Hodges: Clean up will be on Chelsea Road. Meet for litter pick up at 9 a.m. at the town Farmers’ Market, the corner of Chelsea Road and Route 33, near the foot of the Lord Delaware Bridge.
  • 2nd District, Courthouse and Sweet Hall — Travis Moskalski: Clean up will be on VFW Road. Meet for litter pick up at 9 a.m. at 1658 VFW Road.
  • 3rd District, Aylett — Bobbie Tassanari on behalf of Stephen Greenwood: Clean up will be on the Route 360 and Route 30 corridor. Meet for litter pick up at 9 a.m. at King William High School, 80 Cavalier Drive.
  • 4th and 5th districts, Manquin and Mangohick — David Hansen and Bob Ehrhart: A combined clean up effort for both districts will be on Etna Mill Road and/or Nelson Bridge Road. Meet for litter pick up at 9 a.m. at Corinth Christian Church, 9153 Dabneys Mill Road.

No RSVP is required and gloves and bags and trash pickers will be provided. The rain date for the litter pick up event is Dec. 1.
