Colonial Downs will hold job fairs for the New Kent facility in February and March in anticipation of opening Rosie’s Gaming Emporium in April and the return of live thoroughbred horse racing in August.
The job fairs will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 14 and March 14. Interested applicants will be considered for positions in food and beverage operations, gaming attendants and technicians, security, surveillance, accounting, human resources, marketing and maintenance, according to a news release by Colonial Downs.

Colonial Downs ultimately plans to hire approximately 200 workers in New Kent County. Applicants should bring resumes, although it is not required, and dress is business casual, according to the release.
The job fairs will be held at a temporary recruiting office at 10770 Horseman’s Road, about 1 mile past the track entrance. Prominent signage will be posted to direct applicants to the office.
