Suspect arrested, others wanted in connection with 2017 New Kent home invasion

A Richmond man has been arrested in connection with a 2017 home invasion in New Kent.

Rashard Davon Terry, 26, of Richmond was arrested on Feb. 4 in Hopewell and faces eight charges related to an Aug. 5, 2017 home invasion in Lanexa, according to a news release by New Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

The invasion is still under investigation as several individuals, in additoin to Terry, broke into a home on Colony Trail, restricted the movement of and assaulted a victim in the home and took several items, according to police.

Terry was charged with breaking and entering, malicious wounding, robbery, abduction, conspiracy to commit a burglary, possession of a firearm by a violent felon and two counts grand larceny for a vehicle and firearms.

He is being held without bond at Henrico County Jail East.

Additional charges for Terry and others involved are pending an investigation by New Kent County Sheriff’s Office
