Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a recent series of larcenies from motor vehicles in New Kent County.
The series of thefts and larcenies from motor vehicles occurred from September to December throughout the county, according to a news release by New Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
Hunter Waddell, 21, Jake Ragsdale, 27, Dillon Davis, 22, and Kaitlyn Holt, 25, were arrested and charged with numerous crimes related to the incidents. All four suspects reside in Henrico County, according to the news release.
The alleged charges include grand larcenies, petit larcenies, vehicle tampering, credit card thefts, trespassing, destruction of property and possession of a firearm by convicted felons. A male juvenile has also been charged.
The majority of the arrests took place Dec. 12, and the last suspect was arrested Wednesday, according to New Kent County Sheriff Joe McLaughlin Jr.
In these incidents several motor vehicles and numerous items from motor vehicles were stolen. The stolen items include electronics, firearms, hand tools and power tools, according to the news release.
Each of the stolen vehicles and the majority of the stolen property has been recovered. The majority of all property has been returned to its rightful owners.
The sheriff’s office was able to arrest the four suspects with the assistance of Virginia State Police and Henrico County Police Department.
Additional suspect charges are possible as the investigation is still underway.
