Woman killed in King & Queen crash

A woman died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday in King & Queen.

Khadijah Robinson lost control of a 1998 Lincoln Town Car while traveling north on Newtown Road near Owens Mill Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a Virginia State Police news release.

The car ran off the side of the road, struck trees and overturned. Robinson, 22, of Fredericksburg, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash. Robinson wasn’t wearing a seat belt, according to police.

There weren’t any other occupants in the car. Virginia State Police continues to investigate the crash.
