Homestead Cottage had successful grand reopening weekend in West Point Antiques

Homestead Cottage held its grand reopening inside its new space in West Point Antiques this past weekend.

The two stores combined to create a unique experience for customers.

Homestead Cottage, being a “store within a store,” had its debut in the antique store on March 9, according to owner Jessy Keefe.

Keefe said both stores saw a good amount of traffic and people were excited for her store’s new location.

“I saw a lot of familiar faces and unfamiliar faces, antiquers from Williamsburg, Richmond, Virginia Beach,” Keefe said.

Co-owner of West Point Antiques Juanita Cawley said people would find one item in Keefe’s store section, then find something to go with it in the antique section.

“It’s been great for both stores,” Cawley said. “People can find something old with us and can fit with someone new or handmade with her,” she said, referring to Homestead Cottage.

West Point Antiques and Homestead Cottage at 706 Main St. are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
